Toi Rauwhārangi wanted to ensure their first interaction with students left them with a sense of excitement and opportunity that studying with Massey could bring.
Toi Rauwhārangi is Massey University’s College of Creative Arts, providing internationally acclaimed tertiary education in design, art, music and media production. With a well-earned reputation for excellence and innovation you can imagine that we were just a little bit excited to be asked to build their new website.
Aspiring creatives are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing where and what programme to study, and websites play a major role in students’ decision making.
We created a new website which promotes the diverse study options available at the College of Creative Arts, showcases students’ achievements and celebrates the successes of graduates through a Hall of Fame.
The biggest thrill in building the Toi Rauwhārangi site lay in the challenge of making a site that appears as though almost every page is custom and not uniformly created, while ensuring that it can be expanded and managed by a content manager.
No small feat! Toi Rauwharangi is proof that an Umbraco Content Management System doesn’t have to be rigid or repetitive, it reflects the dynamic, flexible and boundless potential of the College itself, while being solid and structured from a CMS perspective.
In addition to a website that offers visitors an experience that lives up to Toi Rauwhārangi ’s reputation, the site functions as a way to start a conversation with potential students.
